When Sylvie can’t get to sleep she tries counting sheep.

But the sheep have other ideas … like dancing, rollerblading and swimming!

Try to keep up with the flock of wild and woolly Sleep Sheep in this baa-rmy bedtime story.

Witty illustrations, packed with funny detail to pore over and jokes to discover. A wonderful new take on the familiar going-to-sleep pastime of counting sheep.

Anna McQuinn (Author)

In 2006 I bought a little cottage in Kerry, where I come from in Ireland. The cottage is in the middle of a sheep farm, and especially when we moved in first, the sheep spent a lot of time wandering around the house and looking in – studying us! Of course, they found their way into a story.

I love drawing sheep and for this book I got to draw hundreds of them! My favourite illustration is the one of the sheep on the beach, I took inspiration from some of my favourite seaside places like Brighton, Cornwall and Lyme Regis to create that page. I had had great fun inventing and drawing ice cream flavours that sheep might like to eat - anyone for a Hay and Lettuce cone?
